I am a person that is driven by dreams and challenges, and working strategically on the projects I get involved in.My biggest dream has been, and still is, the development of astronomy in Lebanon. My biggest achievements are:1. Developing and teaching astronomy courses at NDU, and the creation of a successful and unique Masters degree program.2. Designing, leading, and managing the development of the Farid and Moussa Raphael Observatory, the largest and best scientifically equipped observatory in the Arab Middle-East.3. Leading the development of amateur societies that have helped grow the astronomical science ecosystem to the point of sustainability.4. Helping found, and lead for 14 years the Task Force for Astronomy and astrophysics at the Lebanese National Council for Scientific Research (L-CNRS)5. Coordinating the Lebanese National Committee for the International Year of Astronomy in 2009 and leading its activities6. Making Lebanon a member of the IAU, one of the oldest international science organizationI have co-founded the first astronomy shop in Lebanon: Sky Optics. Any person curious about astronomy will receive an integrated service in terms professional advice, pre and post purchase support for the operation, and maintenance of their equipment. Sky Optics is nudging, promoting, and successfully supporting the development of specialties within the hobby. We are leaders with a mission.I have been a member in the leading group of strategic projects at NDU: Initial institutional accreditation and the first strategic plan of the university. I am thus very well versed in understanding all aspects of the operations, management, and leadership of higher education institutions through the different management positions I have held. Being the leader of continuing education for 5 years has provided me with an invaluable experience in the development of programs of interest to working adults.
