Roger Jones is an internationally experienced leisure and tourism consultant, master planner, and detailed designer - with 40 years of expertise and experience. Hands-on involvement in many industry sectors has equipped him with experience and market knowledge at all levels.This has enabled Roger to work for, and understand the needs, of both public (government) and private sector clients, and projects of all sizes, in many different geo-markets, at all stages of planning, development and operation. Roger has always taken a commercially focused approach to projects, and in competitive and challenging business environments, has been able to offer clients pragmatic solutions to their planning and business strategies, and operational issues. In more recent years Roger has become a renowned advocate of, and expert in, the principles of sustainable tourism and leisure development which is currently leading towards a highly desirable and more beneficial emphasis on the concept and creation of the ‘Circular Economy’.In strategy design and development, Roger is skilled in identifying the issues, strategy formulation and implementation planning for single assets, resorts, and up to whole destinations - inland, coastal or mountains. He has participated in projects which are already mature as well as those in their respective ‘learning curves’ of regional, national and international tourism and leisure. Past projects have covered several aspects of business: from strategy design to master plan design, through market research and value creation optimisation, to operational management structuring.Roger has a vast international network of leisure (including sport) and tourism industry associates, and the related sectors of real estate, architecture, engineering and other specialist/technical skills.
