The team consisted of five area managers and a team of 96 Auditors, covering the UK and NI, and a customer services team of 22 personnel including a manager, team leaders, schedulers, contract reviewers, and account administrators. This was a contract role covering maternity leave.My role was to work directly with the five Regional Managers and the Customer Services Manager to implement people excellence and process improvement strategies to resolve poor customer service issues which had plagued the business since the end of lockdown, when significant commercial and compliance changes were implemented.I held several Kaisen events with key personnel, to establish root causes and agree strategies for improving processes. I worked with my direct reports by providing leadership and mentoring via weekly 1:1 meetings, to ensure that business targets were being met whilst support their personal development. I created and led a cross-departmental steering committee to improve the onboarding of new Auditors, from their initial start through to achieving full chargeability, reducing the onboarding time of new Auditors from six months down to 6-12 weeks to achieve chargeability targets. Highlights▶ I built a high performing production team to keep track with rapidly increasing sales demands, resulting in the doubling of consumables production output year on year and hitting over one million units by 2012.▶ Under my leadership, production output yielded an Increase in company turnover from zero to £3.1m between 2008 and 2013.▶ I created and maintained an ERP system to plan production, map resource utilisation, track stocks of raw materials, control costs, manage the inventory of finished products and ensure full product traceability.▶ I undertook an on-site review of a key supplier in China after quality issues were identified with moulded components.
