Focusing on algorithmic information theory, game theory and causal inference. Particular interests are in Cognitive psychology: understanding mental representations and processes in terms of compact - and lossy - encodings ("folk psychology"), communication in terms of signaling games and learning in terns of causal inference from statistical models. One of the consequences of this is a critique of some popular social science models of cognitive functioning.
