Experienced in Anti-Corrosion Coatings identifying and applying correct coating systems to meet the needs of environmental hazards encountered by steel assets.An in depth knowledge of Pipeline Coatings both onshore & offshore in both developing and applying protective coatings to extend the lifetime of steel assets.Steel will naturally return to it's fundamental chemical structure prior to the work and energy inputs required to form expensive assets if not protected against corrosion; pipes, valves, vessels, maritime transportation etc. The correct material specification and application of protective coatings to prevent degradation is essential to ensure the lifetime of the asset is achieved.After the protective coatings have been applied Cathodic Protection may be used to further protect the steel after unplanned coating breakdown, particularly in areas were ongoing visual inspection is not possible.I have been involved in specifying and applying coatings around the world for various major projects where the lifetime of the asset was of prime importance. The costs entailed in fabricating and installing major engineering projects are huge and I passionately believe the protective coating is paramount to ensure the asset not only matches but exceeds lifetime expectancy.
