British High Commission, Islamabad

Developed capability of Pakistani security organisations from British High Commission, Islamabad. Project managed £13M, UK-USA and cross government (FCO and DfID) funded, security development project. Managed building of 550 man training centre in austere environment. Commanded training team embedded in US forces. Delivered joint DfID and US relief for devastating floods as sole in country MoD officer dedicated to the relief effort.

Reviewed economic viability of 400+ sites in preparation for Strategic Defence and Security Review. Developed management tool and database to enable rationalisation.

Directed leadership training of 750 students at Royal Military Academy Sandhurst. Including detailed training delivery for cohort of 90, recruitment of 150 officers into the Corps of Royal Engineers, and hand picked to lead selection of annual cohort of trainers to deliver training for the next generation of young officers.

Led 140 strong military engineer organisation deploying to Iraq, Poland and Canada. Provided search and boat capability to Basra Province and trained fledgling Iraqi Army engineers. Developed water provision, sewage extraction and refuse collection plans across Basra Province. Fielded new generation of armoured engineer vehicles, developing procedures and modus operandi.
