Roger was responsible for the build-up, rollout & operations of Swisscom Betty TV Switzerland. He led a small high-performance team of 8 people responsible for customer care (1st, 2nd level), billing, web communication, field force trouble shooting and back-office application development. At the same time he co-ordinated the efforts with the Munich-based Betty TV development team (Change request management). Roger directly managed key projects, like Release Management of the Betty TV architecture and the Technology Roadmap. He also co-ordinated the ~30 people 1st level contact center. Through his large personal network at Swisscom and with third parties, Roger also took care to keep activities with involved partners in line. In December 2007 the Betty TV service was stopped due to various reasons. Roger was responsible for the wind-down of the entire operations and coordinated the activites with TV Broadcasters (DE & CH), Swisscom and all involved technical partners very successfully.

Roger & his team very successfully planned, rolled-out and operated the world-premiere of "Betty TV" - an interactive TV solution used by more than 6000 users in Switzerland. Before this, he designed and developed an access-independent TV service at Swisscom (like Tivo.com), reporting to the CEO Swisscom Fixnet (Adrian Bult). Roger led the cross-unit team that developed the Bluewin TV 300 solution (www.tv300.bluewin.ch). Under very tight time & financial constraints his team succeeded in creating and introducing the succesful TV service working closely together with various partners (tvtv/Sony,FAST TV-Server). Roger also helped in making Swisscom ready in the new product area of Television (Shops, Know-how, Acceptance, Processes, ...).From 2002 - 2004 Roger was part of the Fixnet Business Development/Strategy team (Senior Business Analyst). He was in charge of strategy development and financial planning of the Customer Care, Payphones, Operator Services and the Directories Unit.Roger also led several special projects (e.g in the area of VoIP, Directory services, ...) and performed strategy analysis for the senior management at Swisscom Fixnet.

Roger joined Accenture (former Andersen Consulting) in the Technology Parc Sophia-Antipolis (F) in 1994 as a Junior Consultant. He was part of the Network Solutions/Transformation team and contributed to many leading edge Telco and Digital TV projects. He specialised in Project Management and conducted projects in the area of OSS/BSS and Digital Cable TV.2002 VoIP Planning for French Insurer1998-2001 Cable&Wireless & NTL London UK, migration to Digital TV. Led team of 11 engineers to design, build and rollout the Digital TV Operations Center for both companies.
