In 2018, I came home in between contracts to simply visit my mother. While home, I took her to her annual mammogram and she was diagnosed with cancer. I made a quick decision that I was not going to go back and I was going to stay by her side. As I missed my IT world, I would not trade that time with her and I have no regrets.
