In addition to developing leaders, I believe that it is important to create meaningful connections with our students that will support them through our education experiences. I enjoy serving as Athletic Director, coach and trainer. My Sports expertise includes all areas of academic preparation, athletic administration and the Higher Education process. We must provide the best educational opportunities for all students so they may become productive members of society:Over twenty years of progressively responsible athletic administrative experience in higher education; successfully held senior level position since 2003, inclusive of demonstrated achievements in academic/student affairs, operational leadership, strategic planning, and assessment, budget management and establishing a record of creating high quality programs along with substantive interaction with student athletes, faculty, staff, parents and community leaders. As the Program Director I manage and oversee various efforts to teach our student-athletes to master proven study skill techniques to improve their overall grades in school as well as expose and encourage them to pursue higher education. My range of responsibilities were numerous; however my primary areas of focus were on the effective operation of programs and services geared towards recruitment, enrollment, retention and success of our students, along with executing day to day tasks of the after school program, clinics, workshops and camps.Additional duties and accomplishments include:• Composed and administered after-school college readiness program which focusses on college and career exploration, academic study skill development and tutoring sessions for a 36-week program and promotes social awareness• Conducted comprehensive SAT preparation course via Bridges TestU delivered both online and in class• Planned and executed FastTrack College Exposure Camp, an annual 10-day overnight summer academic enrichment and athletic development camp• Provide ongoing athletic development and recruitment assistance programs• Facilitate mentoring, counseling and crisis intervention programs• Conduct workshops and seminars for overall fitness, nutrition and life skills• Offer annual athletic events such as our basketball showcase, football combine, quarterback and receiver camp, 7-on-7 football tournament, girls basketball summer league, as well as AAU basketball and USATF track & field traveling teams and off-season conditioning programs
