As the Program Director I manage and oversee various efforts to teach our student-athletes to master proven study skill techniques to improve their overall grades in school as well as expose and encourage them to pursue higher education. My range of responsibilities were numerous; however my primary areas of focus were on the effective operation of programs and services geared towards recruitment, enrollment, retention and success of our students, along with executing day to day tasks of the after school program, clinics, workshops and camps.Additional duties and accomplishments include:• Composed and administered after-school college readiness program which focusses on college and career exploration, academic study skill development and tutoring sessions for a 36-week program and promotes social awareness• Conducted comprehensive SAT preparation course via Bridges TestU delivered both online and in class• Planned and executed FastTrack College Exposure Camp, an annual 10-day overnight summer academic enrichment and athletic development camp• Provide ongoing athletic development and recruitment assistance programs• Facilitate mentoring, counseling and crisis intervention programs• Conduct workshops and seminars for overall fitness, nutrition and life skills• Offer annual athletic events such as our basketball showcase, football combine, quarterback and receiver camp, 7-on-7 football tournament, girls basketball summer league, as well as AAU basketball and USATF track & field traveling teams and off-season conditioning programs

The Mid-Atlantic association fulfills a range of critical leadership roles and functions for the sport, including: growing grass roots programs, such as the junior Olympics, to help develop the future starts of the sport; promoting programs of training and competition for men and women and boys and girls of all ages; enforcing the rules and regulations of our sport; sanctioning hundreds of events annually as well as provide administrative and financial sponsorship support and insurance to sanctioned events, member clubs and member athletes. Duties and accomplishments include:• High Performance Committee, (Committee Chair from Oct 2011-May 2017) – Plan association events and consult on matters concerning the association and USATF as a whole as well as create and manage budget and administer all committee business• Directed nine Association and two East Region Open & Masters Championship meets• Supported four international IAAF qualifying race walk events including the Pan American Cup and World Team trials as well as the U20 USA vs. Canada walk challenge

USATF provides coaching education opportunities with a science based, coach driven and athlete centered approach; aiding in the tradition and pursuit of the World’s number one track and field team. Duties and accomplishments include:• Member of the USATF Coaches Registry• East Region Coordinator for Level 1 schools• USATF ITC certified Level 1 instructor• Attended three Level 2 schools (jumps, sprints/hurdles/relays, endurance)• Attended the IAAF/USATF Academy for both Sprints and Endurance and earned the highest recognized achievement awarded through both organizations which recognizes a coach throughout the world as having the knowledge to coach at the highest international levels of the track & field profession• Mentor newly admitted ITC instructors

Officials play a vital role in making thousands of events run smoothly and safely and are essential for maintaining the highest levels of integrity at all levels of competition. Training and certification of officials is central to USATF’s goal of ensuring fair and safe competitive opportunities for athletes.Duties and accomplishments include:• National level official• Officiated numerous IAAF, USATF, NCAA Div I, II and III and NJCAA conference and regional cross country, track and field and race walk championships for youth, college, open and masters divisions• Assist in the Penn Relays clinic, member of the Multis, Distance Night and Race Walk crews and serve as Assistant Chief Lap Counter• Support annual association clinics and initiatives

Served as Treasurer for four years where I received and deposited all Association funds as well as endorsed checks, paid debts, prepared tax returns and reported all transactions to the general membership each quarter

Charged with planning, programming, directing, supervising and implementing the duties and functions of all facets of the program including budgets, allocating funds, scheduling, recruitment and supervising three assistant coaches and volunteers. Administered all aspects of coaching, team travel, maintaining equipment, results and statistics as well as monitoring student-athlete’s academic progress.Additional duties and accomplishments include:• Grew program from cross country only to rebuilding track & field and competing in all three seasons with year-round training• Eastern Pennsylvania Collegiate Conference Champions 2005-2010• Pennsylvania Collegiate Athletic Association State Champions 2006-2010• Cross Country Runner of the Year Recipients 2005-2010 • Coach of the Year Honors 2005-2010• Placed over 30 athletes into four-year institutions, many on scholarship• Coached 40 school records which still stand today
