With over 20 years experience in the IT industry, I'm passionate about all things tech...but mostly about Cyber Security.My passion started at an early age when I discovered I could bypass restrictions on school PCs to play games.Now instead of bypassing restrictions to play games it's about:Governance, risk, compliance, functions, controls, awareness, training, blue & red teaming and uplifting maturity.I am a strong believer in demystifying tech and providing outcomes for both now and the future.This allows me to 'talk technical' to people with varying levels of IT understanding ensuring they don't get lost in 'Tech mumbo jumbo'. I believe it is important to relate to your customers and be able to discuss technology in an easily understood manner, particularly around Cyber Security.Security is often seen as a blocker or just another cost centre to the business but I see it differently. I see security as an enabler.If a business has an objective to climb a digital mountain: IT should provide the path and security should provide the handrail or the harness.
