I am now pursuing something I have thought about for a long time. I've trained as a maths teacher and am now in my 3rd year (ECT2) at Ark Alexandra academy in Hastings. Very challenging but exciting and rewarding. Prior to this I spent 2 years working in home automation after co-launching Homesmart Solutions Limited ("homesm.art") providing smart home technology with a unique service package. Previously I spent 30 years mainly in marketing. 15 with large multi-nationals and then 15 offering consulting to startups and growth companies. The primary business areas were IT (hardware and software),, communications and media. During this time I also gained significant experience in business development, sales, general management, private equity and technology development. My marketing consultancy clients included Karenna WIlford Architects (marketing review), Objective Computing (large client project), Swale Museums Group (heritage marketing), CLS Performance Solutions (marketing for training and learning consultancy and solutions) and AIB - the Association for International Broadcasting (business development including India)From 2005 to 2013 I was a director of FlyTXT which provides intelligent customer engagement to over 100 telcos and other companies in Asia, Africa and Europe.Between 2005 and 2008 I was Business Development Director for Antics, which provided real time 3D animation software that allowed rapid creation of animations without the need for intensive training. The software was used for planning films, TV and adverts, legal reconstructions, business simulations and machinima.My career has included senior UK and European marketing roles for Dell between 1988 and 1999 and as well analysing and monitoring high-tech investments as a director of Newtonmore Advisors Limited between 2000 and 2002..Specialties: Business development, strategic marketing, branding, product marketing and channel development
