An initiative I founded in 2014 that grew to include 50 shipping companies with a shared belief that effective enforcement of sulphur regulation is vital to health, environmental and fair competition interests. Primarily oriented towards communications and lobbying, it drew the attention of key stakeholders to enforcement concerns and demonstrated strong industry support for addressing them as a critical element in the successful global implementation of sulphur rules.Trident Alliance's members ranged from the smallest to the largest companies in the business and were drawn from across the globe and all shipping sectors. Having achieved what it set out to do, it was wound down in 2020.
