I'm a veteran shift worker of over 4 decades of 24/7 shift work in Victoria PoliceDuring this time I identified a massive shortfall in education around Nutrition and Health & Wellbeing for shift workers.There are 2 million shift workers in Australia alone and an estimated 23% of the population of the USA are now performing shiftwork.To top that, 30% of the Asian population are shift workers. That equates to 1.4 billion shift working Asians.I help shift workers navigate shiftwork with evidence based best shift work practice to burnout and avoid Metabolic Syndrome, a condition so common in the shift working area and creating massive health issues and lack of productivity.I returned to study after being accepted into the gold standard of evidence-based nutrition educators, Mac-Nutrition Uni (MNU).I have graduated as an MNU Certified evidence-based Nutritionist and am now combining my experience of shiftwork with my knowledge of Nutrition to best educate shift workers in health & wellbeing and evidence based best shift work practice.I am the founder of "A Healthy Shift" to reflect this and to attract work in this area. I coach shift workers 1:1 in Nutrition as well as Health & Well-being stand-ups in corporate environments to reduce unplanned leave, increase productivity, increase morale and reduce staff turnover.
