As a Junior Officer at the Financial Mechanism Office, I have assisted country officers with work on many of the beneficiary states of the EEA and Norway Grants. My focus area has been the work with the development of programmes in Poland, Hungary and Croatia.Some of the main tasks in the role as a Junior Officer has been to prepare and participate in meetings with representatives from the Donor States and the Beneficiary States. I have conducted extensive research on the energy and environment sectors in both Croatia and Poland, and gained a good overview of EU Cohesion Fund policy and allocations in these fields. Moreover, I have worked with Justice and Home Affairs and Local Development programme development.Additional tasks has been to prepare annual reports, annotated agendas, and write assessment papers. I have also had responsibilities involving official communication in the form of letters and memos between the Donor and the Beneficiary States.

The second task was to research and write a new policy on the data responsibility. This policy is, in large, built on the new EU data protection directive.
