I spend my working life talking, consulting, thinking, presenting, and writing about the analysis, innovation, improvement, and management of business processes.With my wife, Jo Tregear, I live in Bungendore, a semi-rural village near Canberra, Australia’s national capital. At work, I am the Principal Advisor with TregearBPM. I deliver consulting and education assignments around the world. This work has involved many industry sectors, diverse cultures, and organization types. I brief executives, coach managers, and support project teams to develop process-based management. Several thousand people have attended my training courses and seminars in many countries. I am a regular conference speaker.My BPTrends column, Practical Process, led to the 2013 book of the same name. In 2011, I co-authored Establishing the Office of Business Process Management. I contributed a chapter in The International Handbook on Business Process Management (2010, 2015). With Paul Harmon in 2016, I co-edited Questioning BPM?, a book discussing key BPM questions. My book, Reimagining Management, was published in 2016. The 2017 new book, Process Precepts, features global commentators discussing the process of management.
