Since 1990, Roger Troller has been working with the ORACLE database. During the first years he was developing applications using SQL*Forms 2.3 and SQL*Forms 3.0 as well as SQL ReportWriter, RPF and RPT on a Siemens BS2000 host system for Migros Genossenschaft Zürich. After 3 years (1993) he moved to Basel and started working for Manor AG. The focus was now the migration of the company own merchandise management system from SQL*Forms 3.0 (hostbased) to ORACLE Forms 4.5 (client/server). The responsibility of Roger was to assist the developers in this process, to set up standards and guidelines for the development and the development process and to build a library (PL/SQL) to be used by all developers.Another 4 years later (1997) Roger started working for Trivadis as a Consultant for ORACLE based software development. Since then he worked for many customers in different fields (transportation, commerce, pharma, banking, government, insurance). Since 1998 Roger is also trainer for SQL and PL/SQL within the Trivadis Training organisation. He acts as the lead trainer for advanced SQL training and as a trainer for advanced PL/SQL programming. Starting 2013 he initiatiated a new training on SQL Developer where he also acts as the lead trainer. Furthermore he was trainer for the new features ORACLE 12c training held by trivadis during 2013 and he initiated and realized the SQL & PL/SQL experts seminar, which Trivadis offers since 2012.Roger Troller participated in the beta test program for ORACLE 12c where he was responsible for the new SQL and PL/SQL features within the Trivadis test team. His main interests include developping application based on ORACLE databases, logical and physical database design and application tuning. He currently works as a principal consultant and trainer at Trivadis in Basel, Switzerland.Roger Troller is author of the Trivadis SQL & PL/SQL Coding Guidelines, SQL-Advanced training and also the SQL Developer Training held by Trivadis.Late 2016 Roger moved to Finnova bankware ag, where he works in a team of 6 responsible for data modelling, performance and supporting developers.
