In March 2023, I have joined the Deloitte University EMEA team as Content lead based in London UK. I am looking forward to working with DU EMEA stakeholders, talent and learning leaders in defining a curriculum that is aligned with emerging business needs in the EMEA region. We strive to develop premium content that integrates best-practice EMEA and global perspectives and demonstrates innovative and cutting-edge thinking in learning and development, and the capabilities and capacities that we seek to develop.I have spent over 25 years researching and applying pragmatic, business results-driven approaches for learning and development, and interactive strategy formulation, communication and action planning. I am appreciated for my positive approach and knowledge of my subject matter. After qualifying as a chartered accountant in 1994, I was appointed partner responsible for learning and development for Deloitte South Africa in 1999. In this role I chaired the Learning strategy council and led a team of learning professionals responsible for the design and delivery of technical, trusted advisor, management and leadership development programmes.I served as global leader of learning and development for Deloitte, based in London, from 2009 to 2011. In this role I began developing virtual learning design and delivery skills, which formed the foundation of my practice of impactful online facilitation and coaching during COVID-19 times.From 2011 to 2023 I worked as an independent learning and development consultant alongside action research inquiring into adult learning and transformational development, while living in London and later Cape Town.I hold a Bachelor of Business Science (UCT), Bachelor of Accounting Science Honours (UNISA), MBA (IMD Switzerland) and am a registered Chartered Accountant (SA) and CIMA (UK) passed finalist. I am registered with the British Psychological Society as a personality test user (MBTI and 16PF), Deloitte Business Chemistry assessment, and was an accredited facilitator for the Seven Habits of Highly Effective People programmes. I hold a Certificate in the Foundations of NeuroLeadership, and am an accredited Strength based leadership coach.I was a member of the IMD (Switzerland) Executive Education advisory council and attended the International Consortium for Executive Development Research forum at Harvard University (USA), Neuroleadership Summit (UK), Robben Island Diversity Experience (SA), Tavistock Leicester Conference (UK).
