I strive to help students and teachers through positive relationships and the use of current technology tools.I have experience training all levels of technology learners. I have advanced education in technology and its role in learning. I am able to tame mountains of data and make it useful intelligence. I am looking for a challenge that makes use of these skills.I have had some amazing experiences at my position at Westonka. These include district-wide technology initiatives, district-wide 21st Century Skills development, district-wide achievement data analysis and warehousing, managing major purchases, budgets and inventory. I have even had the opportunity to visit Apple HQ for an executive briefing.I have also had the opportunity to consult with MakeMusic with their SmartMusic music education program. I helped beta test new programs and built a model that would eventually become the SmartMusic Grade Book.Specialties: I have excellent FileMaker Pro skills that I have used to track student growth district wide. Middle School Band Director

Duties include middle school band, District School Improvement Team and Grandview's Shared Decisions Team. I also have served as building and district's technology integrationist.In the band director portion of this role I have over seen a major instrument purchase budget of $50,000. As well as piloted a "bring your own device" educational software program (SmartMusic.) I also manage the yearly All-District Concert which may be the biggest event in our district. The All-District involves 400 performers and approximately 2000 audience members. This event is well supported by an excellent team of volunteers and sponsors. Major technology accomplishments for Westonka include: Organizing and analyzing the school district's test data from several sources for district wide school improvement. To do so, I met with all the districts teachers, got their input and developed the tools to deliver classroom and student level intelligence.
