Roger joined Apex Benefits Group in 2010. He is an Indiana native who started his insurance career in 1984 with Golden Rule Insurance as an assistant actuary in its Indianapolis office. His primary responsibilities focused on the data analysis and management of its medical business. In this role he served as an insurance expert to the Tennessee legislature as it passed tax legislation favorable to health savings accounts.This background transferred well to a subsequent position with an employee benefits firm. Here he worked with employers in regard to experience analysis, plan design and contribution strategies for the full spectrum of employee benefits. He developed solutions providing cost containment while meeting client needs to attract and retain talent.Roger is a graduate of the University of Indianapolis where he earned a bachelor degree in Mathematics. He is a member of the Indiana Association of Health Underwriters and the Society of Human Resources. One of his spare-time activities is organizing an annual fundraiser for Special Olympics.Roger is a resourceful problem solver that specializes in strategic planning, benefits planning and cost containment. Skilled in negotiating client renewals that focus on bottom line results and a win / win result. Considered the "go to guy" for any client insurance problem.
