Since university I've been passionate about building and scaling systems and teams. It started out with inventid, a now defunct company which eased online ticket sales for event organizers. inventid facilitated their ticket sales, including all related financial transactions.After graduating university I joined Magnet.me, where I'm still employed. I was drawn to the group of young and enthusiastic people whose dream it was to help students and graduates to find the job they love, and for companies to hire the talent they need. At Magnet.me I started out as the engineer setting up the infrastructure, both for our production systems, as well as for the local tooling for developers. After v1.0 was launched, I gravitated more to a general software engineering role where I also handled operations. Nowadays as CTO I'm responsible for all engineering management within Magnet.me.As I liked both the people as well as technical aspect of Software Engineering, I moved over to a Team Lead role, and later an Engineering Manager role. Given that the Magnet.me team which both designs as well as develops our software is relatively small, it means I have been able to remain hands-on as well. In 2022 I joined the MT of Magnet.me as CTO. In addition to my previous responsibilities I'm now jointly responsible for the strategic direction of the entire company, and fully responsible in how we can leverage our technology to enable and propel further growth.
