I have completed my MSc in Cyber Security and Human Factors from Bournemouth University in July 2020. I did my bachelor’s degree in Computer Application from CMR Institute of Management Studies in 2016 and started working as a content writer through internships or temporary jobs in 2017. In 2018, I managed to get a permanent job as web content writer in Moviekoop, Bangalore.I learnt a lot of new skills during these jobs and there was a blend of HTML and CSS involved in them which allowed me to get acquainted to technology.I started my MSc programme at Bournemouth University, United Kingdom in January 2019. Along with my technical background, I got a chance to step out of my comfort zone and explore further during my time in the university. My course module enabled me about the importance of Cyber Security in today’s age. There was a mix of practical as well as theoretical knowledge which made me aware about its career progression. I was equally involved in co-curricular activities and worked as a student ambassador which helped me in the enhancement of better communication and coordination.Along with the above-mentioned units, I had worked on my dissertation where I was dealing on the subject called cross-site scripting (A common vulnerability found in web applications). This happened to be my most challenging part of my course as I wasn’t able to access the library facilities due to the pandemic and I was working it out from my student accommodation ever since the lockdown began. My project supervisor supported me during this time in the successful completion of it.I learnt to master new skills and still continue to do so. I describe myself as a hard-worker and a quick-learner who is ready to adapt in any sort of environment. A lot of past experiences have invoked my inner strength which has helped me to face various challenges coming in my way.Currently, I am working for a law firm named Copyright Integrity International in Bengaluru where I am on the technical side monitoring various infringements of sporting events on various mediums on the internet. I have also used pentesting tools like burpsuite to extract data from various mobile applications which were containing infringed content in them.
