Two DNOs operated by SSEN including SEPD in the South of England and SHEPD in the North of Scotland were in my purview. Working with the policy team, I was responsible for ensuring that all connection processes were in line with regulations set out in the RIGS, licence conditions, as well as the Energy Act. I also liaised with Ofgem and industry bodies on various policy decisions and targets within RIIO ED2. Escalated customer complaints were reviewed by me to test against regulations and industry practices.Apart from this, I also worked with colleagues at SSEN, Ofgem and technical suppliers to progress on solutions required for islanded networks on the SSEN portfolio. In this role, while providing support to a team that required it, I was also able to gain knowledge, skills and experience in a field that was new to me within the Energy Sector. Show less

Work has been carried out to analyze the costs of alcohol consumption in Scotland such as absenteeism and presenteeism using CGE models, something that has never been done before. Show less
