My duties included: developing, promoting, and implementing capacity building projects with stakeholders engaged in the creation of cross-cultural community development programs with a focus on media and performance as tools for engagement - (stakeholders included local community service groups, marginalised young people, stateless families, local schools, NGOs, youth workers, international arts-organisations, circuses, theatre companies, arts professionals, bands, teachers, young people, and students, from Southeast Asia and across the Globe; developing effective social media and community engagement strategies to connect with a variety of networks (including setup, design and administration of websites, blogs, e-news, and e-mail networks – (highlights included the creation of Southeast Asian Social Circus Network, Asian Social Circus Association, and the Southeast Asian Community Circus Festival); planning and carrying-out of media production projects to showcase the Makhampom Foundation (including the 2011 & 2012 Study Tour documentaries); planning and facilitating cross-cultural workshops in physical theatre production and performance (including acting, circus, music, video production, lighting, sound, yoga, fitness, martial-arts, puppetry, games, theatre-sports, and other creative activities); developing training programs and facilitating training workshops for local young people in movement, circus, acting, music and storytelling.
