It’s difficult to write about yourself without sounding pompous, but self-evaluation can be an important exercise, so please indulge me for a moment! It should be apparent from my CV that my work experience has been pretty diverse. I have taught in the USA, the KSA, and in multiple institutions in three different cities in India. The cultural, linguistic, and intellectual diversities among people I have worked with and served, have truly been extraordinary. These experiences have made me flexible, objective and, I believe, more empathetic than I was before. In addition to serving my role as a teacher, I developed several English curricula from scratch; worked as an administrator and analyst at one of the oldest industrial associations in India; had a roller-coaster ride with a start-up; edited academic journals from Europe (Scotland) and the Middle-East (Saudi Arabia); assisted UG and PG students with their dissertation. I have worked with students aspiring to go abroad for higher studies. I taught the Verbal section of GMAT, GRE and SAT, as well as train IELTS and TOEFL students. I have also worked on developing their Statement of Purpose and Essays, and provide consultation on other academic requirements. Presently, I research and write on multiple topics related to Anti-Money Laundering, Sustainability and Responsible Business and other Regulatory Compliance requirements related to Business Setup and Corporate Tax at AKW Consultants in Dubai, UAEI stood 2nd in my Master’s, with a first-class, from one of the most academically elite institutions in India. In my duration as a Fulbright Fellow at the University of Texas at Austin, I audited four graduate courses in addition to my teaching assignments. I have been an amateur astronomer ever since my teenage days. I first reported to the American Association of Variable Star Observers (AAVSO), Massachusetts, when I was 17. I also published my first book for children then. I am an absolute lover of election data, and would surely have been a psephologist if I knew what it was in school. I am a bookworm, a cinephile, and a devout sceptic.
