National Leader - Payroll Advisory PracticePwc Australia Jul 2015 - PresentSydney, AustraliaI lead PwC's Payroll Advisory Practice. Our vision is to raise the profile and potential of payroll in Australia. In these times of data analysis, payroll offers a rich source of information and we believe payroll functions can offer real insight to their businesses. The days of viewing payroll simply as a process driven function are past. The PwC Payroll Advisory Practice consists of payroll specialists who have hands on experience of the challenges and opportunities of working in payroll, and strong relationships and knowledge of payroll vendors throughout Australia. Our team brings to our clients an understanding of payroll, a process improvement focus, and an awareness of the opportunity to incorporate data analytics to realise the true potential of the payroll function. We work with Australian businesses to bring a continuous improvement mindset to their payroll functions. We can review an employer's end to end payroll processes, benchmark the cost of payroll functions and we can help improve the effectiveness of the vendor systems. We believe there is inherent value in the payroll department that is too often untapped by employers. -
Employment Taxes PartnerPwc Australia Jul 2013 - Jan 2021Sydney, AustraliaI am proud to lead a dynamic team whose focus is on bringing thought leading ideas to Australian employers to minimise the employment on-costs arising from their workforces and to maximise the effectiveness of a critical asset – their people. We have a track record of identifying opportunities, in both the public and private sector, to assist companies to re-engineer their payroll and processes to ensure they pay the right amount of their employment obligations. And no more. The Employment Taxes team helps our clients manage their way through large audits with the relevant authorities in relation to Payroll tax, FBT and Superannuation Guarantee disputes. We frequently advise on payments to contractors, employment termination payments and related planning opportunities. -
Global Leader - Employment TaxesPwc Australia Nov 2015 - Dec 2017Sydney, AustraliaIn PwC's "Paying Taxes 2017" report, it was identified that international revenue authorities are now claiming more revenue from companies from labour taxes, such as payroll taxes and social security, than they are from profit taxes. However, management of an organisation's global employment tax footprint is often not given the same attention as management of an organisation's income tax footprint. The PwC Employment Taxes network helps organisations by proactively seeking global, as well as local, solutions to quantifying and managing their employment tax, costs and risks. -
