Director Of Operations
CurrentResponsible for all operational matters and financial activities across the firm. Working directly with the co-managing partners to implement the firm’s future course. Overseeing various internal departments, analyzing current firm processes, effecting change to achieve operational efficiencies, and implementation of growth strategies. Identifies and plans for the changing needs of the organization, shares responsibility with the owner for strategic planning and practice management. Responsible for most of the following:Systems: Including systems analysis, cost/benefit analyses, computer systems, systems development, records management, information management, office automation, document construction systems, information storage, telecommunications, and legal practice systems.Facilities: Including space planning and design, purchasing, inventory control, records storage, telecommunications, mail, and courier.Human Resources: Including recruiting, selection, training and development, performance evaluation, payroll, and benefits administration, employee relations, disciplining, discharging, personnel data systems, job design, resource allocation and other human resource management functions for the legal, agent and support staff.Practice Management: Including lawyer and law student recruiting, lawyer and law student training and development, support staff supervision and training, work product quality control, professional standards, substantive practice systems and other practice management functions.Finance: Working with bookkeeper and accountant on day to day financial activities.
