Coordinated with Design,Strategy and Sales teams to provide recommendations for improving HouseCall Pro's financial services offerings. A major portion of my work focused on conducting customer interviews, performing competitive analyses, and analyzing data related to Web and Mobile usage in order to create a strategic vision for the My Money section of the Web and Mobile product, which is accessed by users to enroll in financial offerings. The strategic vision entailed feature recommendations, UI/UX enhancements and marketing strategies to increase adoption and revenue generation from the company's FinTech offerings.

Promoted after receiving the highest rating Barclays employees can receive for 3 consecutive years. I took up additional responsibilities, which included coordinating with the National Crime Agency (UK’s law enforcement body) in the capacity of the first point of contact for Barclays’s Anti-Money Laundering Technology Division and joining a new team (Data Transformation Team) in the Transaction Monitoring department. This empowered me to perform a more client facing role by collaborating with regulatory bodies and other stakeholders to extensively contribute towards the bank’s fight against financial crime. Furthermore, the Data team allowed me to hone and utilize skills pertaining to data analytics for improving the quality of data fed into our system, in addition to the maintenance and enhancement of the application itself.

The goal of my team as well as my role was to prevent and deter any financial crime activity by screening transactions using the tool we build and maintain. In the process, I prevented billions of dollars of fines to the bank and managed reputation risk by complying with various regulatory bodies across the jurisdictions that Barclays has businesses in. With an extremely heavy focus on process management and adhering to the Barclays value of Stewardship (leaving things better than you found them), I led several initiatives that resulted in the introduction of new processes and controls which led to greater efficiency and reduction in lead time. These include projects such as automating the extraction and collation of performance metrics of 9 teams within division which reduced manual intervention by 90%, as well as leading the Tech Ops initiative, which involved bi-monthly onsite visits to garner feedback from users of the system and introducing actionable items in team’s weekly backlog grooming sessions.
