Developer for Walnut, an object storage system running on commodity Object Storage Devices (OSDs). Projects I worked on include:- Implementation and performance evaluation of the prototype.- A local object storage system for Walnut OSDs that uses Google’s LevelDB library to index objects that are stored together in large files to minimize filesystem metadata. (similar to Facebook's Haystack)- Design/implementation of Walnut’s failure recovery system.- This project was developed using Agile; I served as the scrum master for our scrum team.Developer for MObStor (Massive Object Store), Yahoo’s internal cloud storage service for unstructured objects. Projects I worked on include:- Implementing MObStor’s edge layer on User Fiber Framework, Yahoo’s next-generation traffic serving container. Deployed to production.- An object storage backend for MObStor that stores object using consistent hashing over nfs-mounted storage appliances. Deployed to production.- A parallel, robust and operable framework for running tasks across large sets of MObStor objects. The framework is used to execute data migrations between datacenters in production.- A plug-in to the aforementioned framework that allows MObStor to be elastic by redistributing data across new storage when storage capacity is added. The redistribution engine has been used to run farm expansions in production.- Performance analysis of the Squid and TrafficServer HTTP Caches to be used as edge caches for MObStor to absorb traffic spikes from small sets of very hot objects.Developer for User Fiber Framework (UFF). Projects I have worked on include:- Designed and implemented Stale-While-Revalidate HTTP Cache extension and Negative TTL for UFF’s cache

I was an intern working on the team developing MObStor, Yahoo!'s next-generation unstructured cloud storage solution.My intern project was to develop Combo-Handler, a plugin into MObStor's proxy server which would handle batch requests for multiple files.
