About Rohan Ramakrishnan

Rohan Ramakrishnan is the Founder of ASEAN's first fintech media firm, Digital Media Nusantara (DMN). He is a financier by training, an INSEAD alumnus and a Young Global Leader at the World Economic Forum. Recognising ASEAN as the fastest growing economic bloc in the world that was facing data and information scarcity; he set about to bridge the marketplace opacity by creating DMN – an ecosystem of digital assets which leverages off data and new technologies to narrow this gap. The DMN ecosystem consists of 4 core brand assets - The ASEAN Post (Digital Media), Spotlight Labs (Brand Studio), Reimagining Southeast Asia (Regional Forum) and Discovery Technology (Financial Markets Data Provider). An idea conceived whilst at INSEAD, it is now the first content provider and market intelligence aggregator focused on curating data-driven content from an ASEAN perspective - and is modelled off Bloomberg and Refinitiv. With a digital footprint across 900 cities in Southeast Asia, a content network of nearly 200 thought leaders combined with global strategic partnerships – it has become an authority on the ASEAN marketplace. Prior to this, Rohan worked in financial services and his family office focusing on mid-to-large scale cross border capital structuring and fund-raising exercises across sectors such as real estate and infrastructure, agribusiness and renewable energy, power and utilities and construction and project management. Rohan has since acted in a variety of roles as Special Moderator / Special Correspondent / Guest Speaker at international dialogues such as the Asia Clean Energy Week, ASEAN Placemaker Week, World Economic Forum, WEF Agenda Week and is actively involved in the commentary around the developments shaping the ASEAN Economic Community.
