Participated in SAE AERO DESIGN EAST 2024 and 2025 with Team Assailing Falcons to design the best RC-Aircrafts suited to the Mission Objectives given each year. Competed in Lakeland, Florida from March 8th to March 10th representing Vellore Institute of Technology and presented "Marut", an aircraft suited to combat wildfires by carrying 6kgs of water as payload, a Powered Autonomous Delivery Aircraft (PADA) and an autonomous Ground Transport Vehicle (GTV). The aircraft was commended for its unique design, structural viability and stability even in the harshest conditions thrown at it at Lakeland.

As part of the team that designed "Marut," the Mission Objective was to create an aircraft capable of carrying a 6-kilogram payload, an Autonomous Aircraft (PADA), and a Ground Transport Vehicle for combating wildfires, aligned with the mission of the SAE AERO DESIGN EAST 2024 competition. Leading the fuselage department, my responsibilities included designing Marut's fuselage to accommodate payload, avionics, and propulsion systems, integrating the wing and empennage, and developing a delivery system for the Powered Autonomous Delivery Aircraft (PADA).Materials for all components were meticulously chosen after extensive research, analysis, and physical testing. Leveraging our proficiency in CAD and analysis software, we ensured the structural integrity of the design. Additionally, we gained hands-on practical experience in composites and CNC manufacturing, involving tasks such as 3D printing, laser cutting, drilling, and sanding.We conducted thorough testing of the aircraft under various loads to verify its structural strength and implemented necessary modifications. A successful flight test demonstrated Marut's flawless performance under operational conditions.Participating in the SAE AERO DESIGN EAST 2024 Competition in Lakeland, Florida, from March 8th to March 10th, 2024, provided valuable experience in Aircraft Design and Manufacturing. Marut received praise from judges, including those from Lockheed Martin and other competitors, for its robust design, wide body fuselage, and integration of a Semi-Tapered Wing and a U-Tail.

Analyzed various components of the aircraft such as the Wheels, Main Landing Gear, Nose Landing Gear, and Rib truss configurations on ANSYS WORKBENCH using various modules such as Static Structural, Explicit Dynamics and ANSYS Composite PrepPost. After validation of the values obtained from the software using Manual Testing methods such as Wing Loading Test, Landing Gear Drop Test, Wheel Impact Test, Composite hardness and Quality Tests, Marut's Aircraft Structural Design was changed accordingly.

After extensive research on Materials, Tools, Manufacturing processes and viable Remote-Controlled Aircraft Configurations, Designed and Analysed CAD models of an Aerodynamic Aircraft capable of carrying 10kgs of payload, a Powered Autonomous Aircraft weighing 200 grams and an Autonomous Ground Terrain Vehicle that can carry a payload of 800 grams, according to the Mission Statement for the SAE AERO DESIGN EAST 2023. The models were designed using SolidWorks and Structural Analysis was performed using ANSYS and Fusion 360.

Joined as Core Committee Member of ASME-VIT on 2023. Participated in various events to support the initiatives and organized future events.
