About Rohini Moradi
After years of serving folks at several of San Francisco’s most renowned bars, Rohini Moradi began seeking out ways to enhance our imbibing pleasure with healthy remedies from the earth. As a child growing up in various parts of Iran and India, Moradi was fascinated by the presence and effect of spices such as saffron on our palettes, so she began playing with these ingredients in cocktail-making. In 2012, Moradi developed a variety of original (herbal) recipes which tickle the senses upon first taste (and) actually help promote bodily health as they are ingested. She's made herbal mixology her own scientific playground - seeking cures to our ailments and answers to our questions with a child-like curiosity that has led to her stand out among the crowd of tired and uninspired traditionalists in the bar industry.Moradi believes it's time to consider the value of everything we ingest. "A big challenge (in herbal mixology) has been getting people to think about what they're consuming." For her part, Moradi has balanced herbal notes with classic spirits in cocktails such as her 'Ro's Merry Baby' to create exciting new flavors in concoctions that also promote liver function, memory strength, and mood enhancement - health benefits originally intended by the first distillers, but long since forgotten by many consumers.The idea behind Roya Spirit is to enhance the drinking experience by making the best of nature's many benefits. Like Moradi herself, the brand has many facets and all are evolving, refreshing, and reviving the senses at each opportunity. Her new line of all-natural, sugarless syrups is just a small part of the cure. "We hope to change the way people look at their pleasures," says Moradi.
