With a BPS-accredited bachelors degree in Psychology from University of Leicester, and masters degree in Mental Health Sciences from Queen Mary, University of London, I have a thorough understanding of psychological theory, mental health issues, and advanced research methods and statistics. Through my professional experience to date, I have cultivated strong communication and interpersonal skills, which includes a strong ability to relate to and empathise with a diverse range of people, including colleagues, clients and vulnerable service users. I have also developed high-quality time management and prioritisation skills across my experience in Marketing and Sales Development roles. At this present time I provide care to male service users of working age who have been sectioned and held in care under the mental health act. Operating in a multidisciplinary team, I support the delivery of a recovery focused service and intensive support programme to patients with the intention to return them to acute care. I am extremely passionate about mental health, and take an active role in improving awareness through campaigning. I also support vulnerable individuals in the community dealing with simple and complex problems via volunteering opportunities. I always try to keep up with the latest trends and advancements in the field sharing my knowledge, views and opinions as a social media content content creator. My aim is to help educate people to live happier, healthier lives through improved mental wellbeing and resilience. I am very keen to bring my inherent drive and transferable qualities to working directly with clients/service users as an Assistant Psychologist in the near future, to complete assessments, deliver evidence-based interventions and assist with research, audit and service improvement responsibilities.
