CurrentAfter 33 years in the corporate sector, I decided to hang up my boots and do something on my own. Over the past 3 years, I have focussed on developing client specific solutions for improving communication. That sounds cliched and seemingly all encompassing; let me elaborate. We have developed 2D & 3D animated modules often with multi-lingual voice-overs. Samples of our work are on YouTube (search for Thalia Infotech). Some of our work address: 1. University professors teaching engineering using the dissection method pioneered by Stanford University. 2. Comprehensive modules to assist freshly employed engineers understand corporate requirements. For example: Specifying requirements for a Pump, Select a Pump based on performance curves, pre and post installation checklists, troubleshooting, maintenance procedures etc. Following that with in-depth understanding of the physical principles underlying Pumps, procedures to open & close pumps, exploded assemblies, types of pumps, couplings, bearings, impellers, volutes etc. and their usage. 3. Online aid to assist marketing & sales staff for presenting and selling complex technical products e.g. machines that produce PET bottles. Comparing models on various criteria, highlighting organisational and product strengths etc.4. Training modules for staff handling nuclear materials (physiological effects, measurement & handling tools / procedures etc.)5. Comprehensive modules on Human Factors for the aerospace / aviation industry with all 10 chapters stipulated by the European JAR and Indian DGCA requirements.6. For the newspaper industry: Train Operators, and other staff on approved processes. E.g. how to load, unload paper reels from trucks, forklifts, warehouse, how to configure the human-machine interface on the Loader for varying sizes / locations of paper reels, safe practices etc.7. Assist IT Service industry to quickly & easily search & present multimedia collateral, case studies showcasing their strengths.
