This assignment introduced me to a new / challenging area of UI automation using Silk Test / QTP tools. Challenging assignment in terms of learning the UI automation Tools along with deliverables.Also got a chance to develop a perl based framework for automation of AVAYA configuration and Audit Tool.

Got a chance to work along with one of the most motivated, talented and energetic teams. Got a chance to work independently in QA areas of one of the most challenging customer interface module. Good learning experience in terms of basic networking concepts, Perl programming and exposure to database concepts.Also it gave an oppurtunity to understand the business needs from customer perspective and some do's and dont's to be taken care in such relations.Overall it's good to be a part of such a vibrant organisation and happy to be contributing to their million $ concepts turning to reality.

I would rate this activity on top amongst all the assignments. Most demanding and best learning assignment to be handled independently.This activity requires the automation framework development for executing the end to end test regression onto actual hardware test setup.Got an opportunity to independently take decision in areas of design, development environment including language, framework architecture.Framework development includes advanced Perl programming features like COM server access, socket communication between windows and linux machines, multi threads, teraterm automation using macro file etc.

The Telematics Control Unit is the embedded in-vehcile control unit that communicates with the automobile ECUs and GPS satellite and accesses the telematics services over the wireless infrastructure.This short term test activity has laid a strong foundation in better understanding of the end to end TCU project architecture.Got an exposure to various testing phases i,e; Unit testing, sub system integration testing, segment testing.

This project has diversified my skill set by providing me an opportunity to work in development areas of C++ and python for Boost Python C++ control library development, Python scripts as per 802.16e compatible WiMax features and most interesting part of testing of Wimax capable mobile station against the Base station software.

Lucky to be a part of Lucent family at the start of my career. Gained development experience in emerging telecom technologies like CDMA, EvDO.
