 To advise the building worker in planning and organising measures necessary for effective control of personal injuries To advice on safety aspects in a building or other construction work and to carry out detailed Safety studies of selected activities To check and evaluate the effectiveness of action taken or proposed to be taken to prevent personal injuries To advise purchasing and ensuring quality of personal protective equipment confirming to national standard. To investigate all fatal and other selected accidents and occupational diseases contracted. To promote the working of safety committees and to act as an advisory to such committees. To organise, in association with concerned departments, campaigns, competitions, contests And other activities which will develop and maintain the interest of building workers in establishing and maintaining safe conditions of work and procedure. To design and conduct, either independently or in collaboration with other agencies, suitable training and education programmes for prevention of accident to building workers. Supervise and guide safety precautions to be taken in building and other construction work of the establishment.

 Develop safety, health and environment culture through continuously awareness to all employees, contractors and visitors. Regularly conduct Safety committee meeting, internal safety audit and safety inspection. Prepare and update On Site emergency action plan as per BOCW Act and regularly organized mock drill with taking different scenarios. Prepare MSDS for new products with coordination of concern departments. Develop EMS system with follow up of ISO14001:2004 standards & 3B; act as MR coordinator for ISO 14001 system implementation.  Liaison with government agencies like CPCB & Local Government Authority Mutual Aid develops with surrounding industries to deal with any emergency. Train employees on the job, class room and outside training related to Environment, Safety and Health. Preparation and control of H&S budget Do internal Safety Audit as per IS 14489 along with departmental heads. Preparation of ISO 18001 for implementation of OSHAS regulation. Plan procurement of Personal Protective Equipment’s and HSE devices as per site requirement and inspecting the same before use as per laid down norms
