As a clinician, I founded and I am CEO/Medical Director of Mind and Brain Link (www.mindandbrainlink.com). My clinical expertise in psychiatry includes mood and anxiety disorders, with a focus on psychopharmacologic treatments. With pain medicine, my focus clinically is providing interventions and minimally invasive spine treatments for chronic pain conditions. Special Interest in Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery (MISS)/Percutaneous Surgical Treatments, Neuromodulation/Brain Stimulation, Interventional Pain Management and Pharmacotherapy treatments for chronic pain.I am currently a Principal Investigator at Catalina Research Institute, and therefore responsible in enrolling patients and overlooking Phase 1, 2 and 3 clinical trials, in both Psychiatry and Pain Medicine.Clinical Research in minimally invasive surgical procedures such as Percutaneous Vertebroplasties, Percutaneous Endoscopic Discectomies, Minimally Invasive Lumbar Decompression (MILD), Spinal Cord Stimulation (SCS), Dorsal Root Ganglion Stimulation (DRG) , Intrathecal Drug Delivery Systems (IDDS), Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT) and repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS). Strong interest in combining neuromodulation/brain stimulation treatments for a variety of clinical conditions, related to chronic pain and mental health.My interest in research is apparent as I am on the editorial board for 7 pain journals, including: Regional Anesthesia & Pain Medicine, Pain Management, Pain Medicine, Pain Practice, Korean Journal of Pain, Journal of Pain Research and Pain Physician. I have authored over 48 peer-reviewed publications including multiple guideline articles in pain medicine, as well as primary author on over 6 book chapters. As I am a board member on the North American Neuromodulation Society (NANS) Education Committee and Pacific Spine and Pain Society (PSPS) Research & Scientific Committee, I look forward to furthering the field of psychiatry and pain medicine through newer and cutting edge techniques.
