Being an Associate Director Database and handling over 25 financial clients is exactly what you would think its like. It is rewarding yet challanging. You get to work with some of the brigtest minds out there but that does come with its own challanges. Data is the core of everythign and if your access to data is lost, you are crippled. The place where i sit, i nned to make sure that you never loose access to your data, that your databases perform and perform really well, they are always available, highly available (You know what i mean). I and my team, not only supports SQL Server but also MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Sybase, Azure and AWS. No matter how hard it is to be the leader of such a diverse team, i must make sure that i keep myself up-to-date with all new trends in all supported technologies and more and i am really good at it. I lead my team by example. I motivate my team and motivate them a lot. And then, there is a real person behind this profile! When i am not working, i spend time with my family whenever i can. The nature of my job does not give me too much free time so i dont waste a single minute when i am free. I love reading books and telling stories to my son.
