Rohit Singh leads the development of Esri's Geospatial AI capabilities across the ArcGIS platform. He is the founder and director of Esri's AI R&D labs in India, where he leads a team of passionate developers and data scientists adding GeoAI tools, APIs, and pretrained models to ArcGIS - the world's leading GIS software.Throughout his career, Rohit has demonstrated technical proficiency by conceptualizing, designing, and spearheading the development of several products including ArcGIS Python API and the ArcGIS Java Engine API. His dedication to solving complex engineering problems has led to the development of ArcGIS Notebooks, ArcObjects Java, and ArcGIS Enterprise on the Linux platform. With a deep understanding of diverse software technologies, Rohit takes immense pride in being a hands-on technology leader, driving innovation in industry-leading software products.Rohit is a graduate of the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur, and is currently pursuing an MS in Computer Science at Georgia Tech. Early in his career, he embarked on novel view synthesis at a computer vision startup, followed by valuable stints at TCS and IBM before joining Esri. Recognized as an Industry Distinguished Lecturer for the IEEE-Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society (GRSS), Rohit also serves as a plenary speaker at international conferences.
