Teen entrepreneur who is passionate about engineering great products that can have a significant societal impact. My first foray into entrepreneurship is as co-founder of Trashbots – a STEM education platform that enables kids to improve their problem-solving and creativity skills. We are seeing some strong early traction for our platform with pre-orders from over 50 schools and have recently run STEM camps in Peru, Mexico, India and across the US. We also have had some great recognition – as a top 10 Edtech startup by the Global Edtech Startup Awards and have been profiled in the Statesman, Silicon Hills News, and Austin Inno. My passion for STEM education started with my volunteering experiences with the Miracle Foundation. For 5+ years, my brother and I have taught STEM camps at a variety of children’s homes. That gave us tremendous insights into the current state of STEM kits and how they can be improved to make them cheaper and more effective. I am also a Maker hobbyist particularly around 3D printing. Besides designing and printing countless objects from jewelry for my little sister to all the plastics for the Trashbots platform, I have also carried out extensive research on the mechanical stresses that 3D printed objects can withstand. That research led to a solo-authored publication at the 2016 Solid Freeform Symposium.
