Data Move to the Web: Team lead for Test for a team which ported Data Tab in Tableau on the Web, providing users capability to add and modify their data directly on the web, which currently exists only on our desktop product. This feature is a huge step towards moving to Cloud and reduces the need for desktop products. It enables customers to use Tableau on the web while prepping and analyzing data in the Enterprise and interacting with data-rich stories. Leading a team of 6 test engineers (total of 20 developers in team). I contribute at individual level in addition to my leadership responsibilities of providing mentoring, optimizing our test strategy to provide coverage for our features in the most effective way, documentation (test plan and designs) and cross-team communication to share the components across multiple teams. Successfully shipped internal milestones for 2 alpha-releases. Our tests use a combination of frameworks across Java, C++, JavaScript.

Maps Backend: Worked with a team of one 6 engineers. Designed, architected and implemented a framework for testing functionality of Tableau Maps. Was responsible for testing the entire feature including functionality of service and data, measuring performance at throughput level as well as load, stress and scalability. Tested the feature from Security standpoint, localization, AWS deployments, and telemetry for analyzing map service. Automated the entire pipeline and the company still uses the same tools and process for testing Tableau Maps. Successfully shipped the first external release of the feature in Tableau 8.2 and a major subsequent release in 9.0. (http://onlinehelp.tableau.com/current/pro/desktop/en-us/maps_build.html) Performance Tools and Coverage: Performance was the key focus of Tableau post 9.0. I was part of the strategy team involved in high level planning. Ours was a team of 8, responsible for designing tools for measuring the performance across all Tableau products (Desktop, Server, Online and Public). Designed, implemented and externally shipped a tool called Scout which measures the performance of all Tableau products (https://community.tableau.com/docs/DOC-10034, https://community.tableau.com/docs/DOC-10035 ). Scout is a smart tool which performs interactions on any Tableau product based on its state at any given point. It provided a huge value in terms on finding performance bottlenecks and regressions during development and release of 9.1, 9.2 and 10x products. Since deployment lot of customers have benefitted from the tool and is now being used internally across multiple feature teams. We were able to enable performance automation on a large number of platforms while keeping maintenance costs of test suites as low as possible.

Android Application for Monitoring Metabolism: - To develop an android application that connects to an electronic device via Bluetooth and receives information about the features in the breathe of the user. Computations are performed based on intelligent algorithms to provide the user with metabolic results, weight loss/gain plan and feedback on his progress. (Website: www.breezing.co)- Integration of the app with Server: To work with China Mobile, understand their communication protocols, create new database tables and define protocols to transfer information to and from their server.

Development of De-noising and Segmentation algorithm for Precise Protein Identification by Spot-picker Robot: A 3- axes robotic system consisting of specialized axes to print thousands of probes on a standard glass microscope slide (1" x 3") for making DNA microarrays. De-noising was performed using selective median filter and advanced watershed algorithm was used to segment the protein molecules.
