During 36 years in aviation with AAI, ICAO and Tata Advanced Systems (TASL), my core competencies lie in Air Traffic Management, Safety Management Systems, Airport Planning and Aerodrome Safeguarding.After joining as Air Traffic Controller in 1987, received training at CATC Prayagraj and FAA Academy USA. Worked extensively at Delhi Airport as Tower, Area and Radar controller. Associated with the operationalization of the newly installed Westinghouse radars at Thiruvanathapuram and Guwahati. To overcome the high-terrain issues at Guwahati airport, I led development of vectoring procedures along the pre-determined tracks in 1997. These procedures are still being used.Between 1996 and 2008, I worked as a certified OJTI on various ATM automation systems and imparted on the job and classroom training.As safety manager at Delhi ATS, played key role in implementing segregated two runway operations and all weather stop bar operations at IGI airport.Member of the ICAO project team in Afghanistan to transit the Kabul International Airport to local Civil Govt. Certified for Kabul international Airport Tower control.As GM (ATM) at AAI CHQ, took multiple initiatives to improve aerodrome safeguarding process at Indian civil airports. As project manager, developed NOCAS ver. 2.0, an Aerodrome Safeguarding Automation System.
