Rohullah has been awarded the young leader of the year award (2015) by City of Greater Dandenong for improving status and opportunities of young people. Rohullah has been a youth worker, community development Groupworker and community association board management member with various agencies and provided service in the Australian settlement and health sector. Rohullah has worked with STARTTS for over four years and provided culturally relevant, trauma informed and trauma focused counselling to people from refugee background. Rohullah was appointed to Community Development Groupworker role in response to humanitarian evacuation of newly arrived Afghan in New South Wales. Rohullah organised effective group projects, consultation, workshop and information sessions for above-mentioned purposes. Rohullah has completed Graduate Diploma in Psychology at Western Sydney University. Rohullah completed his research thesis on an integrative review exploring trans-professional competencies to work inclusively with people who are experiencing “vulnerability“. Currently, Rohullah is a Counsellor Advocate at the Victorian Foundation for Survivors of Torture Inc. Rohullah provides trauma informed and trauma focused counselling and therapeutic case management to people of refugee background in Victoria.
