Developed gaming software.

Contracted with Overby-Seawell Company where I maintained a software system written in C++ with SQL for manipulating an Informix database. The system was used to track collateral for bank mortgage and auto loans to make sure that they stayed insured and initiated corrective action if they did not. Wrote a C# application for Luther Rice University to process their student loans from a government agency known as "Sallie Mae".

Major product is Peachtree Accounting for Windows, a commercial software product for small business accounting which is sold at retail.Performed all development work following a formal software development process.Collaborated with product management on the development of new features for annual releases.Developed design specifications and resource estimates for new features.Coded and unit tested major portions of new product features using C#, Microsoft .NET 2.0, Microsoft Visual C++, and MFCAnalyzed and solved problems using C#, Microsoft .NET 2.0, Microsoft Visual C++, and MFC

Major product is a large and complex restaurant POS system (3,500+ source modules) which is sold directly to large fast food companies such; Performed all development work following a formal software development process.Collaborated with product management on the development of customer and market requirements.Wrote functional specifications for significant new product features using requirements developed with product management.Developed design specifications and resource estimates for new features.Coded and unit tested major portions of new product features using Microsoft Visual C++, MFC, and COM.Analyzed and solved problems in POS product in DOS (with Phar Lap), Windows 3.1, and Windows NT/98/95 environments.

Designed, implemented, and maintained computerized plant asset accounting systems on an IBM mainframe platform using COBOL, SQL, DB2, and IMS.Wrote accounting practices and procedures to document computerized accounting systems and to instruct accounting personnel in their day to day interactions with those systems.
