I have just completed my MSc Conservation Practice, a field that combines theory and practice of conserving and restoring historical and cultural objects. I have a background in history of design culture and society, which gives me an understanding of the social and political aspects of art and design. I also have six years of experience in managing a restaurant, where I developed customer service, communication, and leadership skills.In 2022 interned at the People's History Museum, where I worked with a team of professional conservators to preserve and display the museum's collection of artefacts related to the history of democracy, equality, and justice. I gained hands-on experience in using microscopy, environmental monitoring, and preventive conservation techniques. My goal is to become a qualified and experienced conservator, who can protect and enhance the value and meaning of cultural heritage. I am eager to join a dynamic and diverse organisation, where I can apply my skills and knowledge, learn from others, and make a positive impact. I believe that conservation is not only a technical and scientific discipline, but also a creative and collaborative one, that requires sensitivity, curiosity, and respect for different cultures and perspectives.
