I was part of the team that manages projects from order through to completion for both loose fixed furniture schemes. This involves: - Coordinating with suppliers, installation teams and the client to manage delivery/installation dates. - Arranging and attending site surveys with client/MC and install teams for a smooth delivery and Installation. - Preparing and sending out installation files including delivery notes, floor plans, non-costed furniture schedules. - Creating and sending out RAMs, O&M Manuals & Spec Sheets. - Picking up snags and ensuring jobs are completed in full. - Managing projects using Project Tracker and Live Controls sheets via Smartsheets.

The core aspect of my role was designing wardrobes and storage. The tool that I mainly use is a bespoke 3D CAD program, which consists of using established blocks which reflect the products the manufacturer supplies. Then using these blocks with knowledge of real world limitations I designed to the customers requirements.As I had to present my designs to the client I had to be rigorous and precise throughout. I needed to clearly show the specifications and generate accurate prices. I also needed to keep in mind how the design will work for the client and fit it in with the rest of the space.My main focus was designing but the end to end process of getting a wardrobe installed involved collaborating with fitters, to ensure the designs work in the real world. Working with scheduling and account teams to ensure the quickest and best result for the client while balancing the workload across projects.

Though the company designs and makes furniture for all rooms in the home, kitchens are their speciality. Everything is made bespoke which allows for great scope when designing and enables us to create the optimum results.The design aspect of the job requireed me to; understand the client’s needs in order to create suitable designs, site visits, create plans and elevations in AutoCAD for both the client and the workshop, along with drawing up quotes.I also assisted with the running of the showroom. Making sure the showroom was presentable at all times, dealing with customer queries over the phone and by e-mail. I also had responsibility of the online and Amazon store, where I was in charge of managing stock levels and dealing with deliveries.

As a Supervisor I was responsible for opening and closing procedures including cashing up duties, independently managing shifts in addition to the standard duties of a Sales Assistant which include replenishment, merchandising, ensuring the shop floor is well presented to customers to maximize sales, and delivering a professional, friendly and timely customer service. As this was a busy store with a high volume of stock, teamwork was essential to maintaining store presentation and keeping other shift staff motivated.
