Directly responsible for the creation and implementation of the hotels pre-opening & operating  commercial strategy to date. The creation of the brand The Marker and responsible for the full mix of  online and offline marketing to include events, digital, advertising, sponsorship & PR. Management of the  marketing, digital & sponsorship team, sales team, PR team ,events and e-commerce &  distribution . Responsible for the revenue results of the business which includes 187 bedrooms, restaurant, 2 bars, private meeting space and spa & wellness facility. Responsible for the financial  management of the sales department’s budget and to provide monthly P&L critiques to  owners on the commercial strategy and to present at shareholder meetings.

Management and administration of the sales and marketing department. Responsible for the revenue  and commercial strategies during a challenge business time due to the recession in Ireland. Responsible  for a number of projects on behalf of the North West Europe division of Starwood in addition to my day  to day role to include an ecommerce project and introduction of social media and digital best practises  across the hotels, the sales management of the Financial and Insurance segment on behalf of the division for group production,  developing partnerships in new and emerging markets such as Middle East and Russia and mentor/coach  for Starwood's mentor program.

Task force role responsible for the implementation of a commercial strategy to address the business  challenges and performance. Management and administration of the Hotel and Resort's marketing & sales  team. Principal company interface with the owners of the resort in relation to the sales and  marketing function as outlined in the management contract which included monthly K.P.I. reviews and  financial scorecard presentations to the board of directors. Optimized ROI from the marketing strategy  through the management of a digital marketing campaign and by focusing on niche segments and  developing strong partnerships with distribution partners in the UK and North America. Implemented a  new sales structure and strategy that involved the amalgamation of two separate sales teams and the  overhaul of the sale process.

Management of the top key accounts to include a diverse range of industries from pharmaceuticals, IT, financial services and retail. Selected for the Starwood accelerated “Grow Global” program in 2005.
