In this role, I supported Lake Champlain Basin (LCB), VT, Conservation Effect Assessment Project (CEAP) watersheds on conservation practice adoption and watershed management implementation. • Incorporated and tested new livestock subroutines into USDA Soil & Water Assessment Tool (SWAT) and developed SWAT-Farm model to enhance the understanding of the impacts of livestock management on manure-based nutrient dynamics at different spatial and temporal resolutions.• Developed a novel tool to acquire NOAA GHCN weather data and fill missing data based on closest, IDW, and IDEW methods (the function has been added to EcoHydRology R package).• Developed a new tool to automatically identify sensitive parameters of SWAT model (the function has been added to SWATmodel R package).• Developed a new automatic calibration tool of SWAT model in low data environment (LDE) (the function has been added to SWATmodel R package).• Developed a Docker-based container to integrate the SWAT into the Model INTegration Through Knowledge-Rich Data and Process Composition (MINT) architecture. • Built and calibrated SWAT and SWAT_VSA models for Lake Champlain Basin, VT and Cannonsville Reservoir Watershed, NY.• Conducted statistical analysis using R to investigate the correlation between digital elevation model (DEM) resolution (from LIDAR to lower resolutions) and measured soil and land-use data.• Studied the spatial variation of water quality parameters along Stroubles Creek in Blacksburg, VA. • Served as a remote pilot in command (PIC) over Smithfield farms in Blacksburg, VA, for “greener pasture” project. • Gave lectures and served as a teaching assistant for Advanced Watershed Modeling Class using R.

In this role, I supported Lake Urmia Basin, Iran on Derivation of the reservoir operation rule curves with emphasis on ecological requirements under climate change scenarios.• Generated several reservoir rule curves under various climate change scenarios (RCP2.6, RCP4.5, and RCP8.5) of GCM models for Bookan Dam Reservior, Iran.• Introduced a new Index “Environmental Resilience Score” (ERS) to assess environmental resilience and sustainability of 141 countries and then categorized them into different levels of resilience. • Studied on experimental model of dam break and compared the results with the analytical solution of Saint-Venant equation.• Led and published the project in Journal of Environmental Management https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jenvman.2018.09.090.• Served as a teaching assistant for open channel hydraulic laboratory and stochastic hydrology classes.
