As a marine surveyor and consultant, I help people that own and work on yachts to manage risk. Operating as Baseline Yachts since 2014, we are recognised by a number of flag states including the UK and Cook Islands to carry out tonnage and commercial surveys. We routinely survey composite, steel and aluminium vessels of any size using a meticulous approach developed in-house. As members of the YDSA, Mecal and IIMS, we are quality-vetted and remain close to changes in the law, technology and construction. My own marine background since 2002 covers refit, project management and captain of vessels up to 40 metres. I keep my MCA Yachtmaster commercial endorsement up-to-date.Previously I worked for a consulting firm in London helping companies and government adapt to the changes brought about by the Internet.
