As the Global Head of Life Sciences Business Distributors, I guided a globally distributed team of distributor managers and managed distribution channels in South Korea, Eastern Europe, Russia, Latin America and the Middle East. I successfully negotiated and won multi-million supply contracts with institutional buyers. Under my direction, I developed and implemented business strategies and tools to improve sales and operational performance in targeted areas, resulting in sustainable sales and profit growth in Tecan’s indirect sales regions.

As General Manager I helped transform the Australia/ New Zealand division from a distribution area to a direct subsidiary of Tecan in 2012. I am especially proud that I was able to build a sales and service team that even today forms the backbone of the company in Melbourne. During my short stint at Dualsystems Biotech, I was responsible for all aspects of the company’s business strategy from sales to marketing; finance to employees. Dualsystems Biotech was a shoot-off service organization of the University of Zürich, focused on developing and marketing solutions for identifying protein - protein interactions.I was reporting directly to the Board of Directors, I revived the company’s profit and loss and took the company to break-even within seven months.

At Mettler Toledo, I supervised the moisture analyzers and hand-held micropipettes, two of the company’s most innovative product lines. I launched a low-end moisture analyzer for both direct and distribution channels which was marketed for 15 years. The joint efforts of the development team and myself led to a decrease of 60 % of cost of goods sold on the replaced product.In collaboration with a major industry leader, I pioneered Mettler Toledo’s manual pipette liquid handling product line in 1999 which won a design award by the Japanese Trade Ministry. In addition, my invention led to a design patent on the product.
