I have 20 plus years experience in the Information Technology field from operations to management. I have spent 3 years focused on the MS SQL Server environment from version 2000 through 2012. I have installed and reviewed the SQL Server environments to ensure recovery, security, and performance are all adequate. I have successfully migrated many Access database back-ends to be housed in SQL Server.I have spent 12 years as an Oracle database administrator. I have been responsible for database integrity, security, connectivity, backup and recovery, redundancy, upgrades, and capacity planning. I have worked with RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, and ASM technologies on Linux and Windows environments.My first 12 years I was an application developer, working primarily on a DEC VAX cluster using DEC Basic, FMS, DCL, RPG, and Powerhouse. I maintained and created programs and systems that produced reports and interfaces for a newspaper media company. The last three of the 12 years I worked with Paradox, Oracle PL/SQL, Oracle Forms and Reports version 6, and Microsoft Visual Basic 6 in a Microsoft client server environment.I spent 2 years as the manager of software development.
